Social Events
We normally arrange three or four social events each year. These have the dual purpose of enabling choir members (and their partners)
to get to know each other better, and raising funds for the Choir.
2010 Events
Jonathan's Farewell BBQ
The Orpheus Choir barbecue, held on Monday 12th July, was our opportunity
to say 'farewell' to Jonathan Sheldon, our Musical Director for the last
eight years.
Jonathan's wife, Jan, had told us that he needed some 'new glasses', and
he was duly presented with a selection (of drinking vessels), together
with a couple of bottles with which to fill them!
This was a really enjoyable evening for the many Orpheus members who were
able to attend, and of course our thanks go to Simon and Heather for
hosting the barbecue for the second year in a row.
Plant Sale and Coffee Morning
Saturday 22 May
Many thanks to Eileen Fox who hosted the event - £280 was
raised for Choir funds.
